✺ Frequently asked questions ✺

  • Invest in the Yamuna Foot Wakers, Silver or Gold Ball, and a pair of black balls as the minimal tools. You will soon feel and see the return on investment on your purchase! Eventually you will also want to purchase the foot savers to complete the set of YBR tools.

  • No. While it is helpful if you do have experience, you will quickly become accustomed to the work and your body will understand it even before your mind does! However, please feel free to book a free 45 min private class to learn all of the basics if you are new to the work. Please be sure to have purchased the basic tools from Yamuna’s website (Foot Wakers, Silver or Gold ball, Pair of Black Balls). Click here to book a time.

  • Generally, YBR is suitable for most people, including those with chronic pain, athletes, and those recovering from injury. However, it's always a good idea to consult with a healthcare provider before starting any new physical practice, especially if you have any medical conditions. You will feel and see results in the very first class!

  • A typical YBR session involves rolling on the balls while following specific techniques and routines. Sessions might include guided practices focusing on different body areas, with a goal of targeting muscle tension and improving body function.

  • YBR focuses on self-care using specific rolling techniques with balls, whereas other forms of bodywork or massage might involve hands-on work by a therapist. YBR also emphasizes body awareness and alignment, integrating these elements into the practice.

  • If you have severe or acute injuries, certain medical conditions, or if you’re pregnant, you should consult a healthcare provider before starting YBR. It’s important to perform the exercises correctly and listen to your body to avoid overdoing it.
